Inner Sound
Tal Zimra Coleman playing bansuri

About

Twenty-eight years of listening.

Tal Zimra Coleman has spent more than three decades inside the disciplines of sacred sound — trained in the bansuri lineage of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, schooled at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and the founder of Harmonic Therapy, her own contemplative method held one-to-one in Norway and at her healing space in the Ein Hod artists' village.

Her bansuri studies took root under Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, the great Indian master of the bamboo flute, both in India and at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music. She continued her studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music (Norges musikkhøgskole) in Oslo.

Her sound-healing work draws on the teachings of Jill Purce (overtone voice and family constellations), David Hykes (the Harmonic Presence Foundation), John Beaulieu (BioSonic Repatterning) and Silvia Nakkach (Vox Mundi).

What emerged from those years is a personal language she calls Harmonic Therapy — a contemplative method that combines shiatsu and Reiki with sound, using gongs, kalimba, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, flutes, rattles, and voice to create the conditions for the nervous system to soften and for inner listening to return.

She has released six studio albums — among them Tibetan Buddhist mantras, a guided relaxation record, and a musical story for children in Hebrew — and a growing body of singles. She performs at sacred music festivals and concert halls, and has been invited to play before His Holiness the Dalai Lama (2014), at the Royal Palace in Oslo (2015), at the Emmanuel Vigeland Mausoleum, and at the Drammen Sacred Music Festival.
